Day4 Santa Paula

Rode to breakfast then into foothill up and down rollers. Avocado farms for miles with a few lemon groves. Cut across that valley rode up balcom canyon Wow walked the bike the last two kickers at 20 to 30 % steep! A short downhill like 30 seconds. Crusing along pastures of  root crops. Started to get a little warm. Ate lunch in Port Heneme, then rode back. 

Day3 Carpeteria,Montcieto, Santa Barbara

McDonald's at 730a change of plans rode north, into the rich people area, beautiful  property, the landscaping was great. Rode down off the hill, some canyon. Rode past a orchid farm tempted to go in But will next time, hahaha!. Went to Santa Barbara mission where I bought Bryce some beads to wear. Rode to Santa Barbara Amtrak station ate lunch across street. Rode back along the coast saw anacapa island pretty clear light breeze blowing whole day very nice cycling weather.

Day 2 Ventura Ojai Castic lake carpeteria

Up early 530a w a meet w David at McDonald's at 7a, semi quiet night here at M6 loud music for a while and laughter. Then quiet, lots of homeless here in Ventura, thin pale looking men and women sad with a lot of vehicle traffic thru the parking lot. 

Rode up Ventura bike trail to Ojai, Ramona could ride this. Stop at visitor s center asked to use restroom old was rude so we left went to neighborhood market wandered around until we asked and the guy showed us. Very upscale market in  normal small town.

Rode out to castic  lake water level very low up over grade.

Rode along coast they have a new bike path separate from freeway. 

Noticed signs along bike path "aids ride" there next stop is Ventura tonight. 

Ate a small rustic Mexican food restaurant on main. Ahhh 4.5. Rode back to m6.
