Arose to the texas style winds that I rode against for a few week on my bike trip.  Backyard canopy is almost toast. Took down roof cover, then it kinda collapsed on itself. Will see if it works.!

Today game on San berdo at 11a ahhhhh too windy. To sit out and watch a game.

Looked around a different cycle places for a flat spot bars. Will see.

Went to get jug of beer, went to Armstrong nursery near dale bros. a lot  of plants BUT kinda hi I'm cheap. 

Next bike trip???  San Diego ( padres)?

4/27 Sunday day reading off iPad, McD s breakfast, quakes day game

Download the Lincoln book I started before my bike trip. Check on magazines I might want on iPad. 60$ for NewYorker magazine 1$ / week. Walked to quakes game. Saw crowd wow it's packed sitting top of 8. Under cooked hotdog and a Bud light argh !

On the people watch---- all lot of tattoos out here.

Most of the dad s are drinking a 8$ beer on a Sunday afternoon. Crying kid about 20 feet from me. Only for 2 solid innings. No wonder he eating ice cream.

Kid with glove missed a foul ball four seats from me, hitting on the thigh, funny!

4/26/ sat had breakfast, walked to vineyards, peeing in proper toilet, next adventures

Breakfast then a walk on the Pacific E lectric trail. But after breakfast downloaded a couple books. Just loving the IPAD.

4/21---4/25 at home since, cleaning gear, eating food not for hydration, fuel. Next adventureS.

Its Friday the 25th gonna have lunch with Thomas and Ron from bike club. Gonna re gear bike for credit card tours. So I can enjoy the new places. Set now is heavy duty. 

Got back home Ramona got me a mini IPad, been playing with it. Great tool.

Will start back to cycling next week.  Been thinking about joining sierra club, for there hiking events. Walking, nature, seems like a good idea, question is how long do I procrastinate?  At least till end of April.

4/20...4/21. Easter 20 days of riding I be had enough. Calling it In Texas.

20 days of wearing bike shorts all day light hours, I'm toast. So I've called the ride in Van Horn Texas. Saddle sores all day 80 and head winds. The desert is nice and the climbs/ headwinds are fine in a car but trouble on a bike. 

Most days it's 60-80 miles from dawn to near 5 each day.

At breakfast on Easter morning up at 5a got gear ready rode to mcdonalds for breakfast and a coffee. Thinking at least 2 weeks of this ?bulshit I'm done. I always keep my room card so back to room to figure out how to get back.

I plan will be rent a uhaul to take back to rancho. Called uhaul hot a reservation . It's Easter do they are closed. 

So it's 830a gonna wander over to uhaul see if I can't get things started. Will see what happens

4/19. fort Hancock to van horn,

Left hotel at 630a ended at 5.! The sky was cloudy to start out this morning. Had to put my jacket on 3 times during the morning part of ride. Back into zag land and border patrol. Got onto the freeway then a side toad to head toward Vanhorn, with a lunch subway stop in sierra Blanca . Along way saw a bunch of light up the road thought it was the border patrol stop but no it was a 18 wheeler that flipped in the wind. Made it thru  border stop and started looking for the town in between those two mountains it's what the map said . Finally got there sat down for a sandwich combo and two pay days for the ride . Saw a couple of long trains go buy really long.  Asked the young guy at the subway gas station c store about the other cyclist that stopped there . He said a old man that looked blasted stopped and rested there for 3 hours before leaving asked him about Aron and the girl had not seek them. Got almost to m6 when the clouds turn into s good trenching washed bike clothe over ran sink whle I showered. Got a couple of extra towels to dry clothes and carpet. Ate McD s and went to dollar store for snacks for the ride to marfa. Then onto alpine .

4/18 into the wind, east El Paso to Ft Hancock , border fence, chasing texas dogs, a church display down main st.

Ate days inn eggs, English muffins, OJ ,coffee.  Hit the road Friday light traffic.turn left on loop drive. Watched the  towns change from fancy to flat out poor.  But always a 7/11 and gas station every 1/4 mile. Lots of pecans orchards. Not that many border patrol cars as arizona. Wanted to check google maps  but no service, it said movie star ??? Waited a few miles and closer to freeway, bingo, Att. 

Came to Knox st which the hotel is on and a church was reenactment of Palm Friday. Waited until they turned onto a side gravel road then to hotel.

Tommorrow to van horn. Weather is windy with a 30% chance of rain. Will see  on the road.
